Fort Bliss Unaccompanied Enlisted Personnel Housing

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers

Fort Bliss, Texas

The Unaccompanied Enlisted Personnel Housing (UEPH) sites are comprised of identical 527,000 SF, two-story barracks complexes designed to house unaccompanied enlisted personnel within the two Infantry Brigade Combat Team (IBCT) complexes at Fort Bliss. IBCTs are large complexes that provide facilities for soldiers to be trained and maintain a high state of readiness. Each UEPH complex includes 12 barracks containing 60 apartment-style rooms a piece, plus ancillary/common spaces such as restrooms, laundry facilities, and central activity rooms. RMH’s mechanical/electrical design featured a number of highly sustainable technologies including efficient lighting tied to occupancy sensors, low-flow water fixtures, 96%-efficient domestic water heaters, and high-efficiency HVAC units.
