Aims Community College, College Center Remodel

Aims Community College

Greeley, Colorado

Originally constructed in 1993, the College Center located on Aims Community College’s Greeley campus is a two-story, 60,000 SF facility that offers a variety of amenities to the students and faculty such as a campus bistro, a bookstore, a library, classrooms, meeting rooms, offices, and student gathering spaces. In addition to updating the above-listed spaces, six departments/offices were relocated to the College Center as part of the remodel effort; they include:

  • Student Services
  • Dean of Student Services
  • Admissions and Records
  • Student Financial Aid>
  • Student Success Center
  • Student Support Services (TRIO)

Project requirements for the remodel included ease of student accessibility to services, continuity and flow of personal movement, efficient use of space, a welcoming environment, and a modern appearance that blends well into the surrounding spaces.

As the project’s mechanical/electrical engineer, The RMH Group designed highly functional and efficient systems to help the project earn certification through the LEED for Commercial Interiors program.
