Mastercraft Cabinets Manufacturing Plant

Mastercraft Cabinets

Aurora, Colorado

This multi-use facility features 80,750 SF of production, 97,000 SF of warehouse, and 22,300 SF of administrative space. Manufacture of the cabinetry produces large quantities of combustible wood dust that must be disposed of in an efficient and safe manner. An 1,800-lineal-foot, 50,000 cfm dust collection system captures heavy wood particles at 47 high-velocity pick-up points. The dust is then delivered to a baghouse located next to the building. Filtered air is returned to the baghouse in the winter months for heat reclaim. To mitigate explosion threats, multiple infrared spark detection and suppression devices are located in the ductwork, and a pressure-sensitive detection and chemical suppression system is located at the baghouse. A 2,350 SF Class I, Division 1 paint vault is equipped with a hazardous exhaust system, power, lighting, and special grounding systems.
