Poudre Valley Hospital NICU Expansion
UCHealth
Fort Collins, Colorado
The 24,000 SF neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) expansion in the “E” Building of Poudre Valley Hospital offers additional space for newborn babies in need of intensive medical attention. After the expansion, the NICU’s capacity increased from 19 beds to 32 beds. The project also included HVAC upgrades in the existing NICU, MEP improvements in the C-section operating room, remodel of the public corridor, and a 10,000 SF renovation of NICU administrative/support space. New circadian rhythm LED lights were programmed in the NICU to simulate natural day and nighttime lighting.
