Town of Castle Rock
Castle Rock, Colorado
Nestled between several of Castle Rock’s unique and scenic geological features, the new Philip S. Miller Park and Miller Activity Complex offers a host of indoor and outdoor recreational opportunities for Castle Rock residents and other visitors to the area.
The sprawling 320-acre park features spaces for visitors looking to spend time relaxing alone or with friends and family, as well as a large synthetic turf athletic field and zip line courses for those interested in more adventurous activities. The park’s centerpiece is a 2,500-seat amphitheater that serves as a venue for concerts and other live events. The 2,850 SF millhouse provides indoor and outdoor spaces for special events such as weddings and family gatherings. Picnic pavilions and an outdoor fireplace provide inviting resources for visitors looking to enjoy the park in a more casual setting. Water-related features include two ponds fed by a recirculating creek and a splash pad to cool off younger park visitors during the summer months.
The Miller Activity Complex is located on the grounds of Philip S. Miller park and offers a variety of indoor recreational spaces including full-sized and half-sized artificial turf fields, a 3,000 SF play area, a 5,000 SF trampoline zone, an 18-hole golf simulator, and batting cages. An impressive indoor aquatics center includes a pool with four lap lanes, an indoor leisure pool with a winding water slide, and a vortex whirlpool that simulates rushing currents of water.
