An ENERGY STAR-labeled building is one that can demonstrate energy performance of at least 50% better than an average facility of its type (top 25% overall compared to similar buildings), provided it meets or exceeds industry standards for comfort and operability. Achieving an ENERGY STAR label provides confirmation to facility owners, occupants, visitors, and others that a facility is a high-performance green building. Plus, the designation is an easy way to make a building more attractive to prospective buyers and tenants, and it is an established method to satisfy LEED for Existing Buildings (LEED-EB): Operations & Maintenance requirements. Prior to pursuing the ENERGY STAR application process, we can help you determine if your building is a good candidate to achieve an ENERGY STAR label. If a building is determined to be a viable candidate, we offer the requisite services to meet ENERGY STAR documentation and submittal guidelines. For those facilities that do not appear to meet these minimum operating levels, we can investigate and implement solutions to bring those facilities up to ENERGY STAR requirements through operating and maintenance adjustments or equipment and infrastructure upgrades.
