    Aurora, Colorado

The new Kings Pointe residential development in Aurora, Colorado, required a new sewage lift station, Cherry Creek Lift Station 15, to help convey wastewater to the Sand Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant in Adams County, Colorado. The new lift station has a divided wetwell with two pumps taking suction from each wetwell, with one of the pumps being able to draw from either wetwell. In addition, a new standby generator  was designed to deliver backup power to the lift station in the event of loss of primary utility power. A biofilter was specified for odor control. Cherry Creek Lift Station 15 also contains a SCADA remote telemetry unit with an Allen-Bradley PLC linked to the central SCADA computer at the Sand Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant to allow the plant and the lift station to communicate with each another. The RMH Group provided power, instrumentation & controls, and HVAC design services for this project.
