    Centennial, Colorado

As the City of Centennial’s first owned and operated park, Centennial Center Park delivers a treasure trove of recreational and educational amenities to local residents and visitors. As a place for children to play, the park includes a playground, climbing walls, a rope jungle gym, a tower to ascend, and a water play area. For those looking to relax and/or meet with others, the park offers covered picnic tables, a large, covered shelter with gas fireplace, and a coffee shelter with a fireplace. Centennial Center Park also serves as a venue for live entertainment with an amphitheater that can accommodate approximately 3,000 people. The area’s natural beauty is highlighted through changes in topography, mountain view overlooks, a butte, a native plant demonstration garden, and an abundance of walking trails. Educational elements conveying the area’s natural and human history are dispersed throughout the park to further showcase the unique personality of this local jewel. All of these custom-designed features helped the 11-acre park win the Denver Regional Council of Governments’ People’s Choice Live Work Play Award in 2013. The Live Work Play program “celebrates great places and livable communities in the Denver region” and “brings greater visibility to outstanding places and projects in the Denver metro area.” The RMH Group delivered electrical power and lighting design and construction phase services for this project.
