Founded in 1922, Kent Denver School is a college preparatory high school and middle school comprised of five academic buildings and multiple athletic facilities located on a 200-acre campus in metropolitan Denver. The 16,000 SF Yates Pavilion—Kent Denver’s newest athletic facility—houses a basketball gymnasium and ancillary spaces to support the school’s strong emphasis on student fitness (in addition to academic excellence). As the project’s mechanical engineer, The RMH Group designed energy-efficient HVAC systems (including direct evaporative cooling and de-stratification fans) and low-flow plumbing fixtures to meet stringent LEED performance requirements. The project earned LEED-NC Gold certification.
