    Aurora, Colorado

With the migration of the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center from the aging, compact Denver campus to the spacious new University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in nearby Aurora, Colorado, the University needed a flagship building to house its many book collections and provide facilities for students to congregate and study. To meet these requirements, the Health Sciences Library was constructed at a central location on the south end of the campus. The new three-level, 113,000 SF Health Sciences Library provides ample spaces for book collections, teaching labs, meeting and study areas, a print journal collection, a large reading room, an art gallery, and a café. In addition to providing mechanical and electrical engineering, RMH was responsible for designing functional, inviting, energy-efficient lighting for the library’s many diverse spaces.
