RMH’s history with satellite communications facilities dates to the technology’s early commercialization. We have engineered more than 60 broadcast, uplink, transmission, hub, and control centers operated by the entertainment, wireless, and GPS industries in the U.S. and abroad. RMH has also designed satellite facilities for defense applications, including certified acoustical and EMI/RFI SCIF spaces.

Given the critical operation of these buildings, their power and cooling infrastructures are among the most redundant and reliable systems possible, yet still have built-in flexibility for future growth. The magnitude of these systems has exceeded 5 MW of generator power, 3,000 kVa of redundant UPS, and 1,000 tons of cooling. Valuable broadcast, automation, and computer equipment is further safeguarded with monitoring and alarming systems, security systems, and specialized fire protection and detection.
