October 9, 2017

The RMH/Davis Partnership/Fransen Pittman team’s entry won the “Most Sustainable” dog house in the Denver International Airport Sustainable BARKitecture Dog House Competition against 14 other competitors. The team’s dog house was lined with phase-change materials to maintain a constant inside temperature for the team’s dog, Oreo, a Saint Bernard mix. The house was constructed of sustainable structurally-insulated panels (SIPs), and included a solar panel, a passive solar collector, and computer-controlled fans/dampers to charge the phase-change materials.
