New Lockheed Martin Satellite Production Facility Announced

Lockheed Martin announced it has started building a $350-million, 266,000-square-foot satellite production facility, named the Gateway Center, on its Waterton Canyon campus in south Jefferson County, Colorado. The primary purpose of the new facility is to increase production capacity, lower costs, and accommodate a growing workforce. Construction of the Gateway Center is anticipated be completed by 2020.

The RMH Group is serving as the electrical engineer for this ambitious design-build project. RMH’s history on Lockheed Martin’s Waterton Canyon campus includes dozens and dozens of projects completed over the last 20 years. Project types have included satellite production and testing facilities, clean rooms, laboratories, administrative spaces, and site infrastructure.
